The strap mounted mini version of my Treble Booster Touring pedal was made in January 2006 for Brian’s on stage use.
The die cast alloy casing and lid were milled out to lighten the weight of the enclosure and to increase interior space, two holes in the lid were filled in with aluminium weld and then the casing and lid powdercoated black. This design was a compromise in some ways because it wasn’t all that easy to change batteries and the booster did not have an off/on switch and was therefore on all the time needing the battery to be installed and removed every gig, but Pete Malandrone was very careful looking after the 4 units that I made and they did the job well for Brian for several years.
Importantly for me and for Brian, the circuit was exactly the same as the TB Touring and used exactly the same larger size components and transistor because the sound would have been different in subtle ways if I used miniature surface mount components.
